A source of tranquility and inspiration, the campus of Timberline Knolls is located southwest of Chicago and situated on a heavily wooded historic 43-acre site, with attractive lodges nestled between reflecting ponds, tall pines, and beautiful limestone formations. In our bulimia treatment, we model how to communicate honestly and authentically so that residents can develop meaningful relationships and intimate connections. We help them to build social networks, such as in the 12-step community, that will help sustain them through the ups and downs and struggles of daily living. We promote spiritual engagement, self-expression through the arts, and intellectual development. We help our residents to engender hope, develop healthy self-esteem, and learn to value themselves and others.
