I have 25 years of experience treating adults and older teens with compulsive, emotional, and restrictive eating and bulimia.

Treating eating disorders since 1980

I have a private solo practice and provide telephone therapy throughout the continental U.S. helping people with eating problems become "normal" eaters. I am an expert in CBT, run "Quit Fighting with Food" workshops, and have authored four books on eating, including "The Rules of 'Normal' Eating" and "The Food and Feelings Workbook" (published) and "What Every Therapist Needs to Know About Treating Eating and Weight Issues" and "Nice Girls Finish Fat: How Putting Yourself Last Makes You Eat" (to be published in 2008 and 2009 respectively).
My treatment approach is eclectic and results oriented, helping clients focus on their core conflicts which keep them stuck in disordered eating.
