Dr. Shepphird works with most forms of eating disorders and body image issues: females and males, adults and adolescents, individual & support groups.

Treating eating disorders since 1994

Dr. Shepphird brings the balance of a caring approach coupled with the knowledge and expertise necessary to help people work to bring needed changes and growth in their lives. With 18 years of knowledge and experience in the area of eating disorders, she works in a supportive atmosphere to help clients set their goals for change and work to achieve them. Dr. Shepphird received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1996 and now specializes in treating eating disorders in a private practice setting. Her treatment model is an eclectic combination of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, nutrition counseling, and short-term therapy (when appropriate).

Dr. Shepphird also leads "Women & Food" - an eating disorders Support Group for women ages 18 and older.
