Nutritionists can find everything they need for establishing and conducting an intuitive eating program by using this in–depth manual. It is divided into two sections, one for implementation in a full–time residential or inpatient facility, and the other for outpatient or part–time treatment. The authors refer to the book Intuitive Eating for source material, with worksheets, emotions lists, guidelines for eating, food journaling, and experiential exercises. In that vein, nutritional guidance and meal planning are not included; but, personal stories, self–discovery, and tools for working with eating disorders patients are thoroughly covered.

REVIEWS:

“This book will make an important contribution to the world of treatment for eating disorders. I applaud all of the dietitians who were involved in the creation of this book, and those who are already using an Intuitive Food Program with their patients. This approach offers a challenging and ultimately gratifying experience.
